In addition to his Hiphop and Dubstep roots, styn experimented early on with electronic genres. This evolved into the colorful array of genres he now spins and swings into clubs.
His unique productions earned him collaborations with big names, but it wasn't until he began weaving his energetic trademark sound into club productions that his new path seemed set.
Post-covid, styn set the scene alight with club edits that went viral on platforms like SoundCloud and Bandcamp. His edits found their way into DJ sets around the world, while his name gained increasing weight within Amsterdam. This led to the launch of his own club night in 2023: Nachtwinkel. Here, genres merge effortlessly into one night.
Now, styn is more focused on original music.
His latest productions combine everything that is nostalgic to styn; from Dubstep basses reminiscent of 2010, vocal chops inspired by juke & footwork, melodies remniscent of dub techno and 90s hiphop & drums that combine early Post-dubstep & Hessle Audio type sounds with Bubbling & Kuduro rhythms.
