About
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, L-Side began exploring music through hip-hop, rock, soul, and funk before diving into Drum & Bass, inspired by pioneers like Marcus Intalex, XRS, and DJ Marky. Launching his career as a DJ and producer in 2008, he quickly caught the attention of the legendary label V Recordings, which released his track "Horn Dance" in 2011. Since then, L-Side has forged an unmistakable style: a meticulous blend of aggressive, dancefloor-focused basslines fused with deep grooves of funk and soul.
His path features major milestones, such as his collaborative singles "So High" with MC Fava and "Riddim Dancer" with the Ragga Twins, alongside two acclaimed EPs (Brainstorm and Love Vibration). In 2018, he reached a career peak with the release of his debut album, Carnal Mind, on V Recordings, which featured heavyweight collaborations with artists like MC Conrad, MC Fats, Fox, DRS, T.R.A.C., and American rapper Jeru The Damaja.
L-Side's meticulous production has repeatedly climbed the charts, yielding instant classics and top-ten Beatport hits, including his remixes for DJ Krust, Think Tonk, and B-Complex's iconic "Beautiful Lies," as well as collaborations with Alibi, Level 2, Critycal Dub, Total Science, and Riya. His tracks receive regular airplay on prestigious stations like BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, and Rinse FM, backed by heavyweights such as Carl Cox, Gilles Peterson, DJ Craze, Fabio & Grooverider, DJ Marky, and Shy FX.
Today, L-Side is a dominant, globally respected force in contemporary Drum & Bass. His international touring schedule spans legendary clubs like Fabric and XOYO in London, alongside premier festivals like Sun & Bass in Italy, Tomorrowland in Brazil, Rampage in Belgium, and Outlook in Croatia, continuously raising the bar for modern bass music.
