Formed from a shared passion for broken rhythms and a desire to express feelings of discontent through rave music, Bristol-based duo Disaffected are quickly establishing a formidable reputation for their high-energy, emotionally charged DJ sets.
The duo's alias harks back to the zeitgeist of the UK rave scene of 88-94; a generation of youth vying to find an outlet for the raw emotions suppressed by a socio-political landscape that is hellbent on individualism rather than unity. Their production and DJ sets are guided by a mission to renew life in this space.
Disaffected's music spans euphoric breakbeat, heavy garage grooves and spellbinding electro, released on a multitude of labels that propagate their infectious energy, including Rinse, Hardcore Energy and Sable Valley. Their SoundCloud hosts a vast swathe of bootlegs of club classics, including the duo's prodigious spin on Sir Spyro's Topper Top.
Since their debut set at their infamous party "Chop Shop" in 2019, Disaffected continue to ignite dancefloors with the unifying flame of rave ritual across the globe.
