Kā is the solo project of Berlin-based South African artist Storm Willow Hartley. Their debut LP OVERSOUL (TR004), forthcoming on Terenor Records, revolves around meteorite gong and synthesis.
Oversoul approaches the gong as a threshold medium. Tectonic low-end, and suspended tonal structures generate atmospheres that dissolve into harmonic tension. Like sonic architecture; where resonance behaves like matter, and distant structures emerge through heat, the project moves through states of celestial alignment, dissolution, and mineral return.
