Matthias Zimmermann / Joe Cleen
A very factual, non-AI, hyper-rational conglomerate of letters and numbers:

Started collecting Techno, House and Rap records at the age of 12 in 1995. First published rap instrumental productions followed in 2003, made for numerous European rappers.

From 2008 onwards, an increasing interest in funky and organic music styles led to international DJ gigs across France, Lithuania, Belgium, Latvia, Canada, Spain, Italy and elsewhere. Between 2012 and 2017, residencies followed in clubs in Frankfurt and Paris.

In 2016, the self-titled LP Matthias Zimmermann was released via Sound Pellegrino / Barclay, accompanied by two Boiler Room appearances around the same period.

2017 marked the beginning of the Joe Cleen project, with releases on Repsies and Jazz Cabbage, followed shortly afterwards by a homebase at SlothBoogie.

Since then, Joe Cleen has become an established presence in Berlin's nightlife scene, playing at essentially all of the city's well-known clubs — with one notable exception: Heideglühen.
